Club 2000 - Round 1 5th January 2019


This year's championship will be contested over ten rounds, January to November (no round in August).

We had an exciting start to the championship in all classes.

Honda Matthew Copsey managed to take three out of four wins on the day bagging himself 142 points. Ollie Handley made a welcome return to RLK with 138 points. Michael Morgan managed to promote himself from Clubman to Pro by finishing in the top five of the A final.

Top Novice driver: Lowin Dunn (14) who came 8th overall.

Junior Rotax Another returner, Ben Smalley, had a great race and came in at number 1 followed closely by new driver, Adam Foster.

Junior TKM Lewis Mackie made a clean sweep of it with four out of four wins and maximum 144 points. It was good to see Freya Woodall, top lady point scorer for 2018 in Hondas make her debut in Junior TKM.

Junior Prokart Some fantastic driving in the Prokart class. Final results: 1st Daniel Copland (14) 2nd Elliot Norton (75) 3rd Jensen Beane (55)

Senior Rotax Two firsts for the Senior Rotax: Archie O’Brien had an excellent race finishing 3rd in his first seniors race; Novice driver, Josh Twitchen (25) had his first race behind the wheel of his own kart.

Senior Rotax 177 Robert Peachey had a good day with three wins out of four and 142 points. William Smalley returned to Club2000 having first raced in Cadets many years ago.
