FAQs
Here's a few of our most frequently asked questions.
Can we just turn up?
We highly recommend you book in advance or contact us before arriving on a whim as our availabilty differs every day.
Can I use my own equipment?
Yes. Your helmet must be full-face with a visor. Visors may be tinted but once our floodlights come on, clear visors are required. Race suits and gloves must be in good condition.
Is there parking onsite?
Yes. We have a big main car park and an overflow car park, both of which are free to use.
Can I use my Go-Pro?
You're welcome to record, as long as your camera is mounted to a shoulder mount. We cannot permit cameras mounted anywhere else, in the interest of safety.
Do I need a driving licence?
No, you don't need a driving licence. Every driver receives a full safety briefing and instructions on operating the karts. They're easy to operate and they're fully automatic.
What happens in bad weather?
Karting continues in all weathers. We would only postpone karting if we are experiencing severe fog, lightning, flooding or heavy snowfall.
What about food and drinks?
We have an onsite cafe, The Lodge Coffee Shop, which is open on weekends and bank holidays serving hot food and drinks. You're also welcome to bring your own food or drinks to the circuit. However, we advise you to only eat after your karting session as eating beforehand may cause some... undesirable effects.
Can I bring spectators?
Yes. There's viewing areas beside the pitlane, at the end of the main straight and on the first floor balcony.
