Club 2000 - July 2018 - Round 7

July saw one of the hottest club rounds in many a year; the heat and the World cup football meant we were a little bit low on entries but the racing was as exciting as ever. Honda Cadets saw Thomas Ready (22) finish 1st In the final followed home by Caiden Morris (85) & Jack Williamson (27). Freddie Hull (99) just missed out on a trophy in 4th. Oliver Gaillard (42) made the jump from Clubman to Pro by finishing in 5th. Also winning Honda clubman trophies were Elliot Reed-Hughes, Freya Woodall, Michael Morgan and Mac McFarquhar. JNR Rotax: Ben Maxim (96) won the final from Archie O’Brien (80). New comer to Club2000 Jolie Pettitt (37) came home in 3rd and achieved top Novice. JNR TKM: Kian Bennett (44) won the final followed home by Spencer Lane (11) and Airijus Jomantas (71). Competing in his first TKM race since moving up from Honda, Finn Muteham (78) finished 4th. JNR PRO Kart: This class has been struggling for entries all year but the July meet saw a driver return to Club 2000 in a new class with Daniel Copland (14) moving from Honda to Pro Karts. The Final was won by Elliot Norton (75), Daniel Copland came home 2nd and Marcus Allen (47) was 3rd. SNR Rotax: Drama on the last lap changed the results and allowed Novice driver George Melling (15) to come through and win the final followed home by Mikey Austin (12) and Oliver Hart (30). Rotax Heavy: Some really close racing all day finishing with Nic Carlton-Smith (70), with his new chassis, chasing home David German (3) in the final. Lloyd Bell (16) claimed 3rd place.
