Club 2000, Round 9, 5th October

HONDA
An exciting round this time with some interesting results ending up with very little point difference in the top 5. Kacee Lynch (41) moved up into 3rd place in the table with a full set of 1sts. Sam Cooper (44) strengthened his second place in the table with two 2nds and two 3rds narrowing the gap to just two points between him and current table leader Mac McFarquhar (87). Matthew Copsey (97) moved up to fourth with a 4th, two 3rds and a 2nd.
Joshua Smith (15) and Jenson Mason (18) finished within the first five in the final and achieved Pro status.
Novice Luke Bate (9) drove well and was hot on the heels of the table leaders achieving a 5th place, two 6ths and an 8th.
Kacee Lynch (41) claimed the fastest Honda lap of the day with a 47.20 in Heat 1 and also achieved the fastest average speed of 56.37mph in Qualifying.

JUNIOR TKM
Another tight set of placings in the table with only 77 points separating 1st place and joint 4th. Spencer Lane made his first appearance of the season, narrowly missing out on a full set, with three 1sts and a 3rd in Heat 3. Lewis Mackie (21) and Kian Bennett (44) returned this month to strengthen their positions. Mackie achieving two 2nds, a 1st and a 6th and increasing his lead at the top of the table; Bennett’s two 2nds and two 3rds reduced the gap to only 1 point between him and second position in the table.
Spencer Lane (11) claimed the fastest Junior TKM lap of the day with a 41.91 in the Final and the fastest average speed of 62.91 in Qualifying.

JUNIOR ROTAX
Ben Smalley (96) was fully in charge of this round achieving a full set of 1sts, despite his best efforts and some quality driving, Adam Foster (92) couldn’t catch him and ended up on the 2nd step.
The top average speed of 63.49mph was achieved by Ben Smalley (96) in the Final resulting in the fastest lap 41.86.

JUNIOR PROKART
Elliot Norton (75) has gone from strength to strength this season, achieving another clean sweep of 1sts and further strengthening his first-place position in the table. Zak Irvin (37) reclaimed his second-place table position with two 2nds and two 3rds. Theo Gray (35) managed to narrow the gap between himself and third in the table with a 2nd in the Final and 3rd, 2nd, 4th in the heats.
Elliot Norton claimed the fastest Prokart lap of the day with a 44.12 in Heat 2 and achieved the fastest average speed of 60.03mph in the Final

SENIOR TKM
Ricky Wright (88) blazed the trail for Senior TKMs in Round 9 achieving a highest average speed of 55.48mph. His fastest lap of the day was 46.05.

SENIOR ROTAX
This round saw all the seniors racing together. Mikey Austin (12) led the field with three 1sts and a 2nd. Josh Twitchen (25) was hot on his heels with three 2nds and a 1st. Austin marginally increased his lead at the top of the table from 5 points to 9 points
Mikey Austin (12) achieved both the top average speed 65.46mph and the fastest lap time with a 40.48 in Heat 3.

SENIOR ROTAX 177
Nic Carlton-Smith (7) made move up from fourth in the table to third with three 1sts and a 2nd in class. Rob Peachey (25) was chasing with three 2nds and took the 1st position in Heat 3. Timothy Perry (2) and Simon Hilton (65) achieved two 3rds and two 4ths and two 3rds and two 5ths respectively for their first Club 2000 appearances.
Nic Carlton-Smith (7) achieved the top average speed 63.27mph in the Final; Robert Peachey (25) claimed the fastest Rotax 177 lap with a 41.27 in the Final.
