Club 2000 - 2018 Round up

The Club 2000 season has passed so quickly; it’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of the year! 2018 has been an exciting year with some excellent driving, some lessons learned, tears of joy and some heartache.

The Club 2000 aim is to offer an exciting race series with fair competition and a good team spirit. We thank our drivers and their families who have been such good sports over the season, showing respect and friendship for their fellow competitors.

The 2018 results are as follows:

HONDA

There was a lot of competition in this class, well done to everyone who took part. The top three were:

3rd: Jack Williamson (27) - Total points: 1220 This was Jack’s first season with Club 2000 and he competed in all twelve rounds, managing to achieve the fastest lap of the day in two rounds (Oct & Dec).

2nd: Freddie Hull (99) - Total points: 1255 Freddie competed in all twelve rounds managing to achieve fastest lap of the day in two rounds (Apr & Sept).

1st: Thomas Ready (22) - Total points: 1342 In his last year in a Honda, Thomas managed to secure the victory with one round to spare. He achieved fastest lap of the day in four rounds (Feb, Jun, Oct, Nov). We hope to see Thomas in the JNR TKM in 2019

JUNIOR ROTAX

Sadly, the numbers in this class have dwindled a bit over the year. Top three awards go to the following:

3rd: Archie O'Brien (80) - Total points 621 Archie did well to achieve 3rd having only competed in six rounds

2nd: Adam Cottrell (8) - Total points 910 Adam competed in nine rounds

1st: Ben Maxim (96) - Total points 1395 Ben competed in eleven rounds achieving fastest lap of the day eight times!

JUNIOR PROKART

This class has been very competitive in 2018.

3rd: Elliot Norton (75) - Total points: 996 Elliot competed in eight rounds after moving up from the Honda class.

2nd: Jenson Beane (55) [RLK1] - Total points: 1102 Jenson competed in nine rounds but unfortunately missed May due to injury. He achieved fastest lap of the day in three rounds (Jan, Feb, Nov)

1st: Marcus Allen (47) - Total points: 1174 Marcus competed in eleven rounds achieving the most consistent scores over the year.

JUNIOR TKM

JNR TKM saw a total of sixteen drivers take part in the championship over the year with some brand-new chassis on the grid at the start of the year.

3rd: Alex Roberts (12) - Total points: 1225 Alex competed in eleven rounds over the year with some up and down results.

2nd: Kian Bennett (44) - Total points: 1275 Kian made the most of his move from Honda to TKM in his brand new Tal-Ko chassis. He achieved the fastest lap of the day in April.

1st: Spencer Lane (11) - Total points: 1384 Spencer competed in all twelve rounds, scored maximum points and two rounds and achieved fastest lap of the day in five rounds.

SENIOR ROTAX

3rd: Mikey Austin (12) - Total points: 789 Mikey competed in seven rounds.

2nd: George Melling (15) - Total points: 1007 George competed in nine rounds.

1st: Jack Veazey (33) - Total points: 1084 Jack competed in ten rounds this year.

SENIOR ROTAX 177

3rd: Tony Cohen (23) - Total points: 1157 Tony competed in every round.

2nd: Robert Peachey (25) - Total points: 1276 Robert competed in all twelve rounds but had to drop some high scores putting him in second.

1st: Nic Calton-Smith (7) - Total points: 1370 Nic competed in all twelve rounds achieving fastest lap of the day in four of them.

The end of year presentation will take place on 27th December 2018.
