Record Fundraising Figure for Cystic Fibrosis Charity Grand Prix!

We had fantastic weather and some very exciting driving for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Charity Grand Prix on Sunday, 22nd July.

A total of 39 drivers raced their way to the finish line with masses of spectators cheering them on.

Drivers were taking no prisoners on track and a there was a fight to the finish. One incident saw Ben Hayward cutting grass after rubbing against BTCC and professional GT driver Luke Davenport! Despite the competitive spirit, the mood was lighthearted and courteous. Congratulations to Mark Ferguson who was awarded the Marshals Driver of the Day trophy!

£1,383.80 was raised on the day with a further £1200 being applied for through a company ' Match it ' scheme.

Organiser James Canham said, "It was a superb day. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the event either by entering as a driver, helping to organise, donating raffle prizes or supporting the drivers. Also, thank you to the superb staff at Red Lodge Karting!
