Red Lodge Karting is Covid-19 Compliant

As far as possible we aim to keep all activities running while adhering to Government guidelines and updated Covid-19 procedures

We are still able to offer group karting providing we maintain social distancing throughout our building.  Depending on numbers, this may require groups to be separated for kitting up and safety briefings.

If you have any queries about the procedures, please contact the circuit where we will be happy to discuss this further

  • At this time, we are not permitted to admit customers from Tier 3 locations.

  • Pre-booking will be essential & full payment will be required.

  • You will be required to acknowledge a disclaimer explaining our full terms & conditions by entering your name at the bottom of the form before submitting to secure your place. This will be placed on file to act as your confirmation that you agree to the disclaimer before participating in the activity on the circuit. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING PROOF OF THIS WITH YOU SO YOU MAY PARTICIPATE ON THE DAY.

  • Unfortunately, we can only allow a maximum of two people accompanying your driver (max 3 including driver).   Any group totalling more than 3 will be asked to leave without a refund.

  • Track & Trace (COVID-19):
The Government is requesting we keep a log all visitors' details; these must be retained for a minimum of 21 days.  All data is secured on our premises in compliance with GDPR regulations for the safe keeping of personal information.

  • If you leave the site but plan to return again then please notify the office.

RLK management has undertaken considerable planning to ensure a safe re-opening for all customers & staff.  We will continue to follow Government guidelines which may mean that we have to amend our arrangements.

Safety procedures in place BEFORE & UPON arrival:

      Before you arrive:

  • All public areas will be thoroughly cleaned and professionally sanitised.

    On arrival:

  • Please ensure you leave at least 3 metres between vehicles when parking up.

  • Please arrive at the time stated on your booking.  if you arrive earlier, please wait until the stated time to enter the building or call to notify us of your arrival.  Only one person per group should enter reception to register attendance, thereafter, other group members will be invited in to register.

  • If you did not sign an indemnity online, you will be required to sign in at the reception upon arrival.

  • Hand sanitiser will be provided and must be used before signing an indemnity form.

  • Please wash your hands regularly during your visit using soap/sanitiser.

  • The need to adhere to additional procedures means that your visit is likely to take longer than in pre-Covid-19 times.  We thank you for your patience and cooperation to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

    Face Coverings:

  • Masks/face coverings must be worn by children and adults while on RLK premises.  These can be removed once replaced by a balaclava.  Upon finishing your karting experience, you will be asked to keep your balaclava on until replaced by your face covering.

      Social Distancing:

  • Please be aware social distancing procedures will be in place throughout the site and a one-way system is in place within the building.  Signage will indicate how many people are allowed in each room and off-limits areas.

  • Outside picnic bench style seating areas are available at the front and side of the main building to enable your own group to remain separate from other groups on site.  We ask that you stay within your own group/bubble and not closely mingle with other people.

    Toilets:

  • The toilet block is located in a separate building to the rear of the site and can be accessed via the pedestrian gate to the left of the main building.  Please do not walk through the main building to access the toilets.

  • Toilets will be open but please be mindful that in order to comply with social distancing requirements, only 3 people may enter the toilet block and only one person can use the urinals at any one time.

  • Please sanitise your hands before entering the toilet block & wash your hands thoroughly before leaving. The toilets will be regularly cleaned throughout the day but please use them with respect to other users.

    Spectators:

  • At this time we kindly request you to limit spectator numbers to a maximum of 2 per driver regardless of activity.

  • Spectators must remain in the car park viewing area adjacent to the coffee shop until invited into an alternative viewing area.

    Safety Briefing:

  • If you have not driven at RLK in 2020, you will be required to attend the video briefing with social distancing measures in place.

  • If you are a known regular that has been to RLK at least twice in 2020 then you may not have to attend the video briefing but instead will have a short verbal briefing delivered outside in the undercover walkway.

    Equipment

  • Everyone is encouraged to use their own equipment where possible.

  • RLK Race suits go through a hot wash after every use; crash helmets are sprayed with anti-bacterial deodoriser and subjected to a cycle in our sanitising cabinet after every use. All items display sanitising stickers showing date and time of the latest sanitising cycle.

  • Reusable balaclavas & gloves are available for purchase at reception: balaclava & gloves: £6 (balaclava only: £2)

  • Up to 24 karts will be allowed out on the circuit at any one time.

  • Kart changing will be carried out as normal steering wheels will be sanitised after every change over to avoid cross contamination between drivers.

  • Any first aid assistance required will be attended by an appointed First aider wearing a face mask, face shield, gloves & protective PPE Marshal wear.

    Trophy Presentations

  • Will be presented with social distancing measures in place.

    Owner Driver Testing/Mini Motos
